Track Notes, 04/30/12

2012 Corn Belt Conference Fresh/Soph Meet info:

The meet is tomorrow at Rantoul Township High School located at 200 S Sheldon, Rantoul, IL.  This is a combined boys/girls meet.
4:00pm – Field Events
All athletes will be provided three preliminary attempts in the shot put, discus, long jump and triple jump events.  Top 9 will advance to final for three more attempts.  Field Events will be run in flights.  Athletes should report to field event by 3:45 pm.  See order of field events below.
Ø  High Jump (girls first) – Opening heights (To be determined)
Ø  Long Jump (boys first)                                           (Matchett, Kneller)
Ø  Girls Discus followed by Girls Shot Put              ( Jacobs, Boucher)
Ø  Boys Shot Put followed by Boys discus
Ø  Triple Jump (girls first following long jump)
Ø  Pole Vault (boys first) – Opening heights (To be determined)

5:00 pm – Preliminary Running Events
Boys 110 M. HH
Girls 100 M. HH
Girls/Boys 100 M. Dash, Hotzel, Kneller

5:30PM – Final Running events (in order).  Girls will run before the boys in all events.

400 Meter Relay, Hotzel, Baker, Hamm, Kneller (Alts: Jocson, Castillo)
3200 Meter Run, LaFayette, Frank

As always, please be prepared for wet or cool weather although the weather seems it may warm up.  There will be a 2p dismissal for all athletes going to the meet.  The bus will leave at 2:10p.
Athletes not participating will have regularly scheduled practice unless you have permission from Coach Neisler or I to attend the meet, traveling by bus.  Coach Hampton and Coach Simple will be coaching practice at school for all remaining athletes. 

This may be the last meet for some of our FS athletes, although they are welcome (not required) to practice with our team through state week.  Athletes will be notified of their being assigned to the Varsity Conference Meet and/or Sectional Team this week.
