Track Notes, 03/19/12

Reminders:

Tonight's meet starts with Field events beginning at 4p.  55M Dash and then 55M Hurdles begin at 430p.  All other running events start at the end of the prelims and follows a rolling schedule ... one event right after the last until finished.

Team and individual photographs will be this Wednesday at 330p.  Everyone should be there and have their uniform for the photos.  I will send home the photo order form with the athletes tomorrow.  PLEASE, have your child bring the form and checks payable to Photography by Kent on Wednesday.  If another activity interferes with this time, please do all you can to arrange to be there.  It should not take more than 20 minutes.  Practice will follow the photos ... practice will most likely end later than usual due to the photos so make sure your rides know this!

You Name it Sports will be at U-High tomorrow evening after practice at 530p.  They have requested our Seniors be available for photos and interviews.  If at all possible, I'll need the seniors to make themselves available for this session which will be a feature for the spring issue.  Seniors, please bring your uniform (and whatever you need to be ready for photos) to practice tomorrow.  The issue should be a fun memory of our wonderful group of seniors.

Finally, I would love parent volunteers for the following:

A parent with the equipment and know how to digitally record our athletes while competing.  First, tonight if possible, I would love to have our hurdlers and throwers recorded.  If you can help us out, please let me know!

A parent willing to help with the design, ordering and distribution of team t-shirts.  Our upperclassmen typically submit a few ideas which the team edits until we have design (Coaches get final approval).

A parent willing to help with design, ordering and distribution of a warm up.

Let me know if you are willing to help with any of these!

Quote of the Day:

Above all, challenge yourself.  You may well surprise yourself at what strengths you have, what you can accomplish!
