Track Notes, 04/09/12

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend with family and friends!  We had a good day at the Springfield Southeast Meet , especially considering the injury list!  The results are posted on the U-High Girl's Track website which you can get to from the U-High Athletics page.

Tomorrow we have two meets; a quad meet at Olympia HS for all Juniors/Seniors (Sarah Hotzel and Avery Hamm will compete at Oly) and a FS meet at Bloomington HS.
The Oly bus will leave at 3:10p from the U-High circle.  There will not be an early dismissal so it is very important all athletes go immediately to the locker room to change and be in the lobby on time and ready to go at 3:10p. The OLY meet begins with Field events at 430p and running events at 5p.

There is no bus to the Bloomington Meet.  I will be at U-High at 310p to drive the athletes who do not have a ride ... I can take up to 7.  If you do not have a ride to the meet, please let me know by e-mail as soon as possible but no later than tomorrow at 10a.  The Bloomington FS meet starts with field events at 4p (TJ and discus start after LJ and shot are complete)  and running events beginning at 430p.

The weather tomorrow looks to be much cooler than today so PLEASE, dress accordingly.  It will not be cold enough to worry about under armor when you run but after you run, we want you to be able to dress in warm clothing.  Both these meets will last until after dark so be prepared.  Illness and injuries can ruin a season's work overnight ... make sure you do all you can to prevent both.  Your teammates and coaches are counting on you to be at your best.

This Friday we will compete in the Bloomington HS Girl's Invitational.  This meet is a varsity meet with limited entries.  However, all athletes are expected to attend unless you are excused by Coach Neisler or I.  There will not be a bus to this meet so please make arrangements for transportation.  If you need help getting there, let me know!  I will post more info on this meet later in the week.

Enjoy the beautiful day!
