It has been a long season which is quickly coming to a culmination. Although I understand and agree with the decision to not run the Fresh/Soph meet, I'm disappointed some of our newest athletes will not be able to run one last meet this season. Coach Neisler, Coach Simple and myself are very proud of our young team and look forward to their development through next season. The hardest part for us will be watching the seniors, at least those who are now finished, move on. Although they seem ready, I'm not sure our team is ready to give them up. I hope we send them off with good memories!
The Corn Belt Varsity Conference Meet is scheduled for this Friday, May 4 at Mahomet Seymour High School in Mahomet. It is a combined Boys/Girls Meet.
Time Schedule:
Field Events will begin at 4:00 p.m.
High Jump – Boys First
Long Jump and Triple Jump – Mahomet-Seymour High School has multiple runways. We will run these events simultaneously
(3 preliminary jumps, 3 final jumps, 9 athletes to finals).
Discus – Girls First

Shot Put – Boys First

Pole Vault – Boys First

6 places score in all events (10-8-6-4-2-1)
T-Shirts:
A limited supply of T-Shirts will be available at the concession stand. The cost of t-shirts is $15.00
Awards:
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in all events. Ribbons will be awarded for 4th, 5th, and 6th Place. The winning Boys Team and the winning Girls Team will receive the traditional walnut bar.

If you are not assigned an event and would like to ride the bus to the meet, please let me know as soon as possible and I will allow as many as we have seats on the bus for. Tentative dismissal time will be 2p with the bus leaving at 2:10p.
