We have new team members joining us these past few days. We are glad to have you join us! These notes to athletes and parents are posted on our web site along with the schedule, roster, results etc ...
The site can be accessed by going to the U-High Athletics website and clicking on the Girl's Track link. Thanks to Tammy Baker for keeping the site up to date.
We are moving outside more and more these days. Please bring layers of clothing, a hat and gloves to practice every day!
Colds can interrupt training almost as well as injuries and we are entering the time of the season when consistent training is vital and workouts will determine our success.
Please do all you can to stay healthy. Be smart ... dress in layers, eat well, drink water and get your rest. More athletes undermine their training (the best workouts will not compensate for bad habits) than fail to train.
Often, the key to reaching your goals is staying healthy ... the best athletes control what they can.
Coach Carr has worked with GTM to allow our athletes to purchase team warm-ups again this year. The warm-ups are optional. Prices are slightly higher than last, so you can purchase the extra items (sling bag and fleece beanie) separately.
The warm-ups are similar to those purchased last year. The design was previewed at practice earlier in the year in gray but we are staying with black. They will have the same logo as last year's warm-up.
They are good quality and should last throughout an athlete's high school career. Athletes who purchased warm-ups last year are welcome to buy another if you choose to do so.
Please have your order in to Coach Neisler or I by March 28th. I will have an order form available at practice. If the order form does not make it home, please just send the check to school for the correct amount and we will have extra forms.
The pricing is below:
- Defiance in BW with free LC logo-$60
- Sling bag in BW with logo-$19
- Fleece beanie with logo--$15
Checks should be made out to Karonji Carr.
Reminder, athletes competing this Saturday need to be at school at 6:45a for the bus. The bus leaves promptly at 7a and "my Mom/Dad did not wake me up" is NOT an excuse we will accept.
We will not hold up the bus waiting for an athlete. We expect you to be responsible for getting to school on time.
